This measure is part of the new regulations for 2026 (via Royal Decree-Law 2\/2026) in response to the postponement of the\u00a0<em>Veri<\/em>factu* invoice compliance mandate to 2027.<\/p>\n<p data-rm-block-id=\"block-2\">The extraordinary deadline for resignation (SII) and revocation (REDEME) for the 2026 tax year was extended to\u00a016th February 2026.<\/p>\n<p data-rm-block-id=\"block-3\">&#8211; Extraordinary Resignation from SII:\u00a0Voluntary users who joined the Immediate Supply of Information (SII) system can opt out.<\/p>\n<p data-rm-block-id=\"block-4\">&#8211; Extraordinary Deregistration from REDEME:\u00a0Users who joined the Monthly VAT Refund Registry (REDEME) solely to enter the SII can withdraw.<\/p>\n<p data-rm-block-id=\"block-5\">Resignations and revocations submitted within this window will take effect from\u00a01st January 2026.<\/p>\n<p data-rm-block-id=\"block-6\">This extension is specifically designed for businesses that\u00a0voluntarily\u00a0joined the SII and now wish to exit because they no longer need the system (due to the delay in mandatory\u00a0<em>Veri<\/em>factu* requirements).
