Finland – Reduction in the reduced VAT rate

The Finnish Prime Minister agreed on the General Government Fiscal Plan for 2026 – 2029. One of the topics included in it was the proposal to change the reduced VAT rate from 14% to 13.5% as of 2026. The final decision however has not yet been made, therefore businesses should wait until proposal is officially adopted before adjusting their systems.
