Greece – B2G e-invoicing postponed

The Greek Ministry of Finance announced second postponment of the mandatory B2G e-invoicing for non-procurement public expenses (e.g. utilities, rents) from 1st June 2025 to 1st September 2025. The new implementation date will be confirmed via an updated ministerial decision in the Government Gazette.

See below overview of the implementation dates of B2G e-invoicing:

  • 12th September 2023: Mandatory e-invoicing for supplies to selected public entities, for example Ministries of Transport,
  • 1st January 2024: Mandatory e-invoicing for supplies to all central government entities,
  • 1st June 2024: Mandatory e-invoing for all other public sector contracting authorities,
  • 1st September: Mandatory e-invoicing for non-procurement public expenses
