Latvia – VAT Cut on Basic Foods

The Latvian government approved application of a reduced VAT rate of 12% on milk (with exception to ultra-sterilised milk), bread, poultry meat and eggs from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027.

The change needs to be approved by parliament before implementation.
