Nazar Zaidi

Director of Product Management

Nazar is currently a Director of Product Management within the Tax Technology Business. Nazar joined Meridian as a manager within Meridian International VAT Consultancy (MIVC) before moving across to the Tax Technology Team in 2011.

Nazar has a detailed understanding of the VAT complexities associated with cross-border supply chains (particularly within the EU) and how to handle such flows within SAP. He works extensively with Meridian Strategic Clients to ensure that their complex business flows and requirements are accurately mapped and seamlessly integrated into Meridian’s product portfolio ensuring VAT Compliance on every transaction.

Nazar began his career at Deloitte, as a UK VAT consultant, where he qualified for the Association of Taxation Technicians. Following this he moved to an in-house VAT position within T-Mobile.

Eoghan Rogers

Director of Product Management

Eoghan joined Meridian as a VAT Manager in 2017. In 2022 Eoghan was appointed as Director of Product Management with focus on ARCO, the Meridian BTP solution for S/4 Hana which handles all the “Known VAT Issues in SAP” for complex VAT Transactions. He works closely with large corporate clients implementing Meridian’s tailored solutions into their SAP systems including our new VAT Compliance Software.

Eoghan started his career as a VAT Specialist in Pfizer, a world leading pharmaceutical company. During ten years with the company Eoghan was in several key roles including Subject Matter Expert for VAT and SAP and VAT project lead for SAP transformation.

He has BA degree in Accounting and Finance from the National College of Ireland.

Christina Cawley

Senior VAT Consultancy Manager

Christina joined Meridian in July 2014 and currently acts as Senior VAT Consultancy Manager. Christina began her career at Meridian as Commercial Risk Advisor, reviewing commercial customer contracts, advising the business on any areas of risk including developing and implementing Anti Money Laundering systems.

In 2020, Christina transitioned to the VAT Consultancy team, bringing extensive experience to a diverse client portfolio.
In her current role, she has been instrumental in assisting clients with their EU VAT compliance, addressing a vast range of complex VAT related issues, and delivering tailored solutions to their various VAT challenges. More recently, Christina has actively contributed to project managing the implementation of Meridian’s Tax Technology solutions into large clients’ SAP systems, driving innovation and operational efficiency in tax compliance.

She holds a Corporate Law degree from the University of Galway, followed by a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB). Christina has worked across various industries from starting her career in Dun & Bradstreet to advising on legal matters for the Queenstown District Council.

Zdenek Vajnlich

Senior VAT Manager - Meridian International VAT Consulting

Zdenek Vajnlich, joined Meridian’s International VAT Reclaim arm in May 2006. Prior to working for Meridian, he worked for Crowe Horwath in Vienna and in Prague.

Between 2009 and 2014, Zdenek headed up Meridian´s US VAT Consulting Department based in New York. While there, he developed a strong client base of US companies who were expanding their businesses into Europe. He was a member of the VAT Committee of the Institute of professionals in taxation and was regular speaker at the IPT VAT Symposiums held around the US.
Returning to Europe in 2015, Zdenek is now based in Prague and is looking after a large base of large strategic clients predominantly from Germany and the US, providing VAT Consultancy and Compliance Implementation services to them. He is responsible for projects concerning implementation of multiple VAT registrations for new clients and also provides hands on operational VAT training to many large corporate clients, to include their Account Payable teams.

After studying at the University of Economics in Prague and in Vienna he holds a Masters degree. A Czech national, Zdenek is fluent in English, German and Czech.

Tara Doyle

Senior VAT Manager - Meridian International VAT Consulting

Tara has been with Meridian for over 25 years, and in her current role as Senior VAT Manager, she supports companies throughout the EU with managing the ever-changing complexities of the European VAT landscape, by providing VAT consultancy as a central point of contact to clients from a broad spectrum of industries. She has many years experience in advising companies on their cross-border activities, as well as in managing the implementation of multiple VAT registrations and VAT compliance projects. Tara is also well practiced in handling VAT audits. Furthermore, Tara has more recently been supporting with the implementation of Meridians SAP Tax Technology solutions for our clients, . Having studied in London, she holds a Joint BA Honors Degree in Modern Language, and is multilingual.

Geoffroy Charmes

Senior VAT Manager - Meridian International VAT Consulting

Geoffroy joined Meridian in 2007 in the Dublin office and is now working in our French Office as a Senior VAT manager. Throughout his career he has been involved in the VAT Reclaim Business helping companies to recover VAT and is now mostly focused in reviewing complex supply chain and advise businesses on a wide range of international VAT issues. In more than 15 years Geoffroy has built strong relationships with Meridian’s clients with the rest of the team in France and helping them to optimise and improve business planning.

He has a Master degree in business tax law.

Morena Messina

Senior VAT Manager - Meridian International VAT Consulting

Morena joined Meridian in 2013 and she is a Senior Manager of Meridian International VAT Consulting team. In this capacity, she manages a portfolio of clients ranging from large blue chip multinational across growing SNEs' businesses, oversees an array of complex VAT issues across the EMEA region and interpreting the EU and national VAT legislation. Morena is a qualified Italian lawyer and she began her career attending Court Trials and acting as primary point of contact for clients on a day to day basis regarding a wide range of legal issues, contracts and dispute resolutions.

She graduated and is Member of the Italian Institute of Law.

John Dingle

Director of Product Management

John joined Meridian in 2004 and during his time has held various roles specialising in VAT determination within SAP.

John was appointed Director of Product Management within Meridian’s Tax Technology department in July 2021. He has worked extensively on complex International Tax Determination projects, providing valuable insights into the challenges faced by indirect tax teams.

John plays a central role in defining the product strategy for Meridian’s Tax Determination solutions and in developing innovative solutions for our clients within their SAP environments. This enables them to manage their complex cross‑border tax transactions within SAP.
