Romania Intrastat Thresholds for 2026

Romania has announced that it will maintain the current Intrastat reporting thresholds for the calendar year 2026, keeping the administrative burden stable for businesses engaged in intra-EU trade. This decision means the thresholds will remain at the same level they have been for several years, which is notably lower than many other EU member states.

Key Details for 2026
The Intrastat thresholds for both arrivals (imports from EU) and dispatches (exports to EU) will stay fixed at RON 1 million per annum.

– Arrivals (Intra-EU acquisitions): RON 1,000,000

– Dispatches (Intra-EU supplies): RON 1,000,000

Businesses that exceed these values in either the current or the preceding calendar year are required to file monthly Intrastat declarations, providing statistical information on the movement of goods within the European Union’s single market.
