Slovenia – E-invoicing

The new draft law on B2B e-invoicing that was submitted in February 2025 proposes:

Implementation of the E-Invoicing from 1st January 2027 (previously e-invoicing was meant to be implemented from July 2026)

Removal of the real-time reporting obligation (previous proposal established an e-reporting obligation where invoice data is transmitted to the Slovenian tax authorities within 8 days from the date of issuing or receiving the invoice)
Stricter requirements for certified e-invoicing service providers, such as having an ISO/IEC 27001 certification.
Inclusion of Peppol network as an exchange network for B2B e-invoicing.
