Portugal – VAT group simplification

The Law proposing introduction of a VAT group simplification in Portugal was approved by the Council of Ministers. A VAT group simplification will allow related businesses that are linked financially, organisationally and economically to consolidate their reporting into single return and use the same VAT number.

As per the proposal, a VAT group simplification is to be applicable from 1st July 2026.
